Download & Install

Download the installer and set up TalkCopyPaste on your computer.

Installation: After downloading, run the installer and follow the prompts. On macOS, drag the app to your Applications folder. On Windows, run the .exe file.

Get Your API Key

Get a free API key from Groq (no credit card required).

Get your free API key from Groq:

  1. 1 Visit console.groq.com/keys
  2. 2 Sign up for a free account (no credit card required)
  3. 3 Click "Create API Key" and copy it

Why Groq? Groq offers a generous free tier (~14,400 requests/day) and ultra-fast transcription. Perfect for most users.

Alternative: You can also use OpenAI, Local Whisper, or any OpenAI-compatible API. Just change the provider URL in Settings.

Start Dictating

Configure your hotkey and start talking.

Configure and start dictating:

  1. 1 Launch TalkCopyPaste (find it in your menu bar or system tray)
  2. 2 Paste your API key in the Settings
  3. 3 Set your hotkey (default: Cmd + Shift + Space on Mac / Ctrl + Shift + Space on Windows)
  4. 4 Press the hotkey, talk, and paste anywhere!
